My Sources (busier than the entry):

A few other elements were PS elements, like the LeafCutter logo on the flag. Just 2 shapes imposed over each other. Same with the shield on the door.
If the image was posted at the full size I created it in (3000 px wide) you would have seen the AphidAde in the lower right... I was afraid that would just look "wrong". There's a few captions that didn't make it to full size.

I did enjoy that, though. I really enjoy crafting a scene. Warp tool creatures are fun, but the details and easter eggs you can put in a scene can be really fun.

RE: Are you ready for some Mayhem?
I sound like a broken record, but really, really great job by all those involved in Round 2. I'm giddy over tying with our fearless leader, GbyP. I can't wait to see Round 3. It's definitely not going to be a breeze (sorry, I had to).

Here are my sources for my mantis. Vortex Dweller, the cross (and church in the background was because it was a Praying (preying) Mantis.

Great stuff, everyone, really.

EC, I liked your jet pilot and especially appreciated the ladybug art on the plane.

GbyP, you did have me asking, "WTF? Slugs?" but it was done so well. Great Slimemobile.

The most recognizable art was impishimpi's -- the cosmic symmetry and poetry of it.

Yeah, well, the slugs were my 4th idea. 1st there was cockroaches which my Muse thought was distasteful (because it had a nuclear theme). Next was a ladybug 'fierce bug projector' sortof like how a cat makes itself look bigger; Muse was "Meh." Then I was going to do a water-strider on a jet ski which the Muse liked. But good 'head-on' sources were few and when I found them, would folk know what it was?

And then I thought "What about a Slugster for Slugs? If they could move fast to avoid the salt they'd grow up big and strong." By that time I was grappling with a fever. Truthfully, at that point I was thinking garden pest and kinda forgot about the insect part. But my 1st 3 choices were insects. I forgot about the water strider until I posted my sources for this one.

A rabbit is also a garden pest but definitely not an insect. It was the fever.

Yeah... I'm looking forward to the winged fart...

(I'm also looking forward to an idea making me happy... lots of ideas, little execution...)

Wow, close voting in round 2. It was hard to vote, very good work by all. Congratulations. Can't wait to see what comes wafting out of round 3.

This only irritates me because I can't wait to see the results...

(Not a complaint... a compliment to my competition... if I gotta wait for someone so I can see teh awesome instead of da mediocre, I can... just been twitchy since I sent mine in...)

RE: Are you ready for some Mayhem?
This round in particular has already been a very rewarding experience for me, and I haven't even submitted yet. Thanks to everyone for providing the opportunity for me to invest myself in an image again. I'm very pleased with what I'll be submitting for R3, and am very much looking forward to seeing what you others have come up with.
