Did you achieve the softness using lighter opacity as was suggested by Vortex dweller? Or is there another trick?

Mostly just the lighter opacity. Here is the .psd (right click > save as) for reference.


My MAC (Safari?) Didn't care too much for your link...Just a bunch of Cyrillic looking letters.
