For the eyes:

Try reducing the opacity on that layer.

For the lips:

add another layer. select a red color. set the brush to dissolve at 40% opacity. Brush just a few spots of the lips and some of the outer lines. Not too much. Go to filter>blur>gausian blur. Set the blur to where the red is just a highlight on the lips.
