Sorry VD.

I'm sorry more to hear you had bad news. I hope you fight the belief it's all down hill from here, despite the fact I share the attitude lately in my personal life for unrelated reasons. You're good though, you should fight.

Apology more than accepted. I never meant to raise doubt of any kind. I care about each of you here more than you care to know, and don't like that I caused questions.

I'm glad it's just the crazy leader squirrel I confused. Smile I sure do like our leaders. Both and every one!

RE: Are you ready for some Mayhem?
Well, thank you for the kind words.

As to how I did it: my basic method was to find a fruit with the right texture, adjust the hue and saturation to get the colour I needed, and then 'draw' on it using the burn and dodge tools. For the beard I used the fuzzy peach, inverted it, adjusted the colour, warped it into the shape I wanted, then layered it to make the beard heavier in some places.

...ta-dah!

Holy shit! There are still 3 people who use Internet Explorer?!

Kind of my thought, too.

Egads... I'm already twice as long on this 'shop as Einstein...

can we get another warpable theme plz???

j/k... I love my idea, and am enjoying this 'shop... just entirely different skills and taking more time...
also, trying to use Wacom as much as possible... the wearing thin paint on my touchpad is beginning to irritate me.

But... it's after 1, and I want some sleep... Ctrl-S and off to dreamland. Night all!

RE: Are you ready for some Mayhem?
Hey folks,

I have another busy weekend and would rather not post another "meh" shop for Round 2.

Will anyone object if I bow out of this tourney?

And will anyone object if we invite impishimpi to participate in Round 2 in my place? It sounds like a number of people have had voters' regret now that they realize that he created that image really, truly, from fruits & vegetables.

Mr. I
I have no problem with this as tourney admin, as long as no one else objects.

If someone objects, but doesn't want to post that here, you can email or PM me. I won't reveal names.

RE: Are you ready for some Mayhem?
Mr. I, impishimpi... whatever... gonna kick any and all ass with my latest... I think I'm done, but gonna run it past Mrs. Yugoboy to check for things I may have missed...

Seriously... I love my idea... execution was tough, though... I've spent too much time lately warping stuff, I totally forgot how hard it is to match elements so they look "right".

Honestly, impishimpi's a worthy competitor and will certainly be welcome in any and all rounds as far as I'm concerned...

(wanna see how he makes an angel outta this one Wink )
