Napalm has been very sick this week and hasn't been able to come out to play. But he promises to fill in all the details soon.

This had me ROFL on Tuesday. Then praying as I was surely going to Hell now. Then I showed my muse and she LOL'd. So I won't be going to Hell alone. Bad, Giant Squirrel, bad! heehee I tried shinking it to avatar size and well... it just looks like a flaming Panda. I'm not touching that and neither are you!!!

I've updated the thread header to provide a Summary of the Project mission, what resources we need, and what slave labor we need from you. I also sent out a Mass Propaganda Message on behalf of Napalm.

I would like to provide the music. I don't have time to compose something new, but I have some compositions sitting around that I can update/tweak.
The one I have in mind is ~5 minutes. I'll provide a rough version for you tomorrow. (Not actually rough; it's finished notewise, but I would like to adjust the dynamics and mix before you release the video).

OK, I just got the e-mail from Napalm and checked here to see that, at the very least, this idea has gotten the Squirrel community revved up. So count me in!

I look at Fark only very occasionally so I don't have any feelings about it. I do have feelings about that ZOOM that you showed us, NP: W*O*O*W*W*W*W*!*!*! I want to help make one of those.

I really want to see folk contribute - and I hope to convince some very special old and new favorites to add to the mix. I imagine it will take several months to gather the pics and then render the in-betweens, and build the film.

Anything worth doing is worth doing right. And really, I can't think of a better remembrance than lending a voice to a choir filled with so many great, creative, and insane souls. Epic.

and now that I actually read most of these posts...it's kinda funny and sad the same time.

all these *issues* you guys are having with fark, they seem so very familiar and yet, I haven't farked in 3..4, maybe 5 years!
no doubt they could have treated people who provided free content bit better,
listened what we needed/wanted...but in the end, it's a business, drew wants to make money, his site, his shit.

and it wasn't Drew or the mods or change in policies, what have you, that made me leave fark.
it was ...some *fellow 'shoppers* who told me (in PS forum) that I should just go to W1K or somewhere else with my artsy fartsy stuff because fark was all about "funny" and there was no place for my kind of stuff, that quality didn't matter and any advice was just snobbery.

I learned how to PS because I was a fark ps'er, I'll never forget that.

none of that matters, I'd love be part of EPIC SQUIRREL thing. I like EPIC...EPIC is good.

OH, and Wavion... nice music. Steampunk-y carousel! At least that was how my deranged brain stuff interpreted it. Definitely (it's still playing as I type) I could see this as a soundtrack... possibly Tim Burton type animated short. Anywho... I ramble. I like it.
