I'll hazard a guess here and say the reason the 1st one has images is because all of the images are actually linked in from the web whereas the 2nd 'example' used inline attachments and attachments don't usually migrate when you change boards like we did. [Different boards manage attachments differently]. This newer thread can be a good 2nd example though... it is still populated.
