RE: Are you ready for some Mayhem?
A huge congrats to GbyP on a well-deserved victory! You definitely brought your A-Game all three rounds. And congrats to impi on the silver. Yugo and VD deserve props too. I really feel like this was the finest final round to date. I feel honored to have finished where I did. Thanks to dsclink for a stellar job from halfway around the world. I really had fun with all three rounds and can't wait for the next one.

RE: Are you ready for some Mayhem?
Thanks very much, GbyP & Supdog. I awe at the talents constantly present here, and appreciate getting to play along.

Impishimpi, you not only showed us effects of wind, but showed us wind herself. Jaw droppingly well done.

Such diversity in the final round, I made 6 ballots prior to voting, and only 2 of them agreed.

Nothing beats a Misfit's tourney.

I would like to go ahead and give props to Vortex Dweller. You went up against the big boys in round 3 and you delivered. Excellent entry. Very elegant, and you should be proud of making such an artistic and beautiful image.

RE: Are you ready for some Mayhem?
Congrats to all who earned a trophy! Well earned, peoples...

Congrats to Vortex Dweller who kept proving the Gee Gee effect... keep putting out quality, and you'll get there. Reach above your assumptions and you'll amaze yourself!

Thanx to all for the kind words. Round 3 was by far the hardest for me to execute an idea. I could not, for the life of me, come up with an idea I could execute. Eventually the newspaper in the face idea arose from the ashes of GIS/skills despair. I like the image, but I was a bit disappointed with the face. Somewhere around here I've got a tutorial of how to put a layer over another and make it look like it was painted on that layer... and of course I couldn't find it. So... I winged it. Came out OK. I like the rest of the image better, but that wasn't the focus. It's a good image, but compared to what went through my head... *sigh*

For those of you who entered previous rounds... thank you for your images, inspiration and participation. My growth as an artist is, in part, a direct result of having such challenging, worthy, skilled competitors to have to strive against. I do hope this site, these tourneys, and all Squirrels continue to grow and thrive.

This was great fun for me, and a fine learning experience as well. Thank you Misfits!

Congrats GbyP and everybody who participated.

GbyP... A pig you say? It looked like a flying Alpaca to me. Go figure.

I'll be playing Dixieland Jazz here all weekend.

/I made My sheep pic as a request from a Little Feet site just before I saw the round 3 pics.
They loved it and said "That Looks Like Billy!" Bill Payne is their keyboard player.

THIS... well said! When I 1st opened the gallery to vote and saw your image VD, my response was "Wow" then "I'm screwed". Happy3 Then impishimpi's... my jaw dropped again. I called my Muse and said come look at these. And her jaw dropped. There was my silly ode to Kansas sandwiched between 2 gorgeous images. Then I thought, "Well at least I had Predaturnip."

Supdog was right - this was a tough round top to bottom and I got mad because I could only vote one entry 1st. It's how I felt, then or now. You all did a great job. Pay yourself on the back and go get a coffee care of dsclink! I insist. Icon_jokercolor

RE: Are you ready for some Mayhem?
Congrats all round, especially to the brilliant GbyP for a well-deserved win!

And thank you all for the very kind words. This was one of those rounds where I really didn't mind where I placed, because all the entries were so good that any one of them could have won.
