Round 1 Voting Ends: Thursday March 24th, 8PM Pacific
Rinse, Lather, Repeat on a 7 day cycle for future rounds

Of course... now that my creativity is back, so's the inscrutability of the electorate... y'know... I had some of my best Tourney results when the only thing I could gin up any greative energy for was the Tourney... hmmmmmmm....

I haven't gone over the details with GbyP yet. Since he's put so much time and energy into this new forum setup he isn't ready yet for the discussions for timing the tourney. (Tired Panda)

So far I've talked with him about making it an in-line tourney similar to Misfit Mayhem 1 so entries will be emailed to me and I'll post in a random order. Voting will be done with emails also. No trying to figure out the gallery system this time.

Stay tuned for scheduling.

Whenever you want to run it - since your schedule is more sensitive than mine - and I'll help with the infrastructure. March would be best (I start a new class at the end of March then another in early April), so the sooner the better. But I'll leave timeframe up to you Sir.

Gotta get back to the code trenches now. :-)

Ugh... hate the gray on white quote sections... gotta do somethin' bout that! Well it is only wonky in the dark background theme - quotes look fine in all light-background themes. So I'll take a look at the theme CSS and fix that.

I'd like to start with the first round on March 17. The schedule would follow the same pattern as previous tourneys, Theme posts on Thursday, entry deadlines Tuesday, voting until Thursday with next round posting after results. Repeat.

I could start March 10 but that puts me at a bad time for posting the first round entries as that is right around my travel time. If everything went perfect I could make it work. If I'm delayed in my travel (common) or I'm very busy at work (also common) then the first round posting would be delayed and that would throw off the rest of the rounds which may mean not having a weekend for working on images. Then again this is likely to be the smallest tourney yet since there aren't too many active members right now so maybe it wouldn't matter.

I'll leave it to you guys if you'd like to chance an earlier start (March 10). Let me know here. By the way, I'll be on the rig in India for the entire tourney so glitches are possible, but I should be able to manage from there. The internet connection is somewhat slow so it will take me a bit of time to process images, but since they usually come in a little at a time this shouldn't be a problem.

Given my March schedule, I'd really like any schedule that guarantees I have weekends to work on entries.

If I gotta wait a week, fine.

An extra week also gives us the opportunity to get more active people in here. Maybe even drag supdog, Andy Iceprey, Footshot, elle and some of the other people out of hiding to have a go at it.

I mean... I know I'm gonna get whupped by Mr. I, but I'd really like as many participants as usual.

I enjoyed my lengthy run as the image of the "month" this winter, but I coulda used some competition for that...
