HoboSong vs. GbyP: Colorize That H2H-2 - Winner is...
Hobosong! - Congratulations for winning your 1st H2H!! Good luck in your next challenge.

Although there is still an hour or so left, since I never even came close to tying, I concede now.

Voting will be open shortly thereafter and last ~3 days.
The winner will be decreed Sunday May 16th ~9pm Eastern.

Re: HoboSong vs. GbyP: Colorize That - H2H-2
Hello. You may notice that we are lacking a picture. We need a picture.

So if you have a groovy B&W you would like us to colorize, post it in this thread and I'll move it up there and credit you O Generous One (whoever you may be).

Thank you!

Re: HoboSong vs. GbyP: Colorize That H2H-2 - Need Pic Please
Brilliant - I accidentally deleted the wrong post...
Believe it or not libranoelrose, we already colorized this image on Mr Squirrel's site... Here.

It's a great pic, but I've seen it and colorized it. Sorry. But I really did appreciate your effort.

I was really hoping that someone would have offered us a pic by now... kinda sad here. Pic found. Search over.

Re: HoboSong vs. GbyP: Colorize That H2H-2 - Pending
Very nice HoboSong!

We had agreed to post Sunday, but HoboSong was able to finish much sooner. Unfortunately, because this is his 1st H2H and more unfortunately I forgot that this was his 1st H2H, we didn't discuss what to do if one person finishes sooner than expected and so he posted. And I haven't even started. My bad.

The norm in H2Hs is to have at least 3-4 days to work on then post a submission. I might be able to work on my submission late Tues or Weds; I'll try to post by Weds PM but I'll have a better fix by Tues PM.

Stay tuned.

Re: HoboSong vs. GbyP: Colorize That H2H-2 - Pending
Well I'm even more of a slacker because I won't be able to post until Friday at the earliest. I have 2 job interviews Thursday and I want to focus on prep for those today.

I figure as long as I sign up for contests, this will ensure real-life conflicts - good conflicts - like job interviews. Priorities.

Good luck on them. I've found that pleading the 5th doesnt work well in job interviews, YMMV

Voted...and think yours looks great. I really like the foreground stuff, I struggled with that part.

EDIT: Grumbly grumble... can't have no fun... :panda:

Yeah that foreground was interesting; I flipped and rotated the pic about 8 different ways. I headed in the direction you took, but then a diary and pencil magically appeared. Now I'm thinking it was a mirage... stupid mirages. My wallpaper is more greenish-yellow than I remember too... the print is too distinct + got washed out on the side with the window.

Good grief. I'm getting dumberer with age. I should just grab some cardboard and go beg on the corner.

Re: HoboSong vs. GbyP: Colorize That H2H-2 - VOTING LIVE
Ok well I made this at work today and had an AWESOME comment all tricked out and clever to go with it that I can't remember. I guess this is all I got now. Which will show that I'm not actually as bored currently as I was at work, which later turned into a million mph day. hmmph.

I made a MSpaint ballot tracker because I was spending a long time thinking stuff then forgetting it. Excellent job to both ye fellers though... and GbyP I agree with some of your overly harsh self assessment, but personally liked the definition provided with the books, diary, and pen. I guess you're debating if it's "allowed' to shop an image swap in a colorize contest? Why not? The only area I wasn't a fan on either one, not that I could even think of approaching what you 2 did, was the window cloth whatever you call them thingys. Curtain, yeah that's the ticket, the window curtain, but I did like your transparency there GbyP.
