Hi,
I hope our fearless leaders are feeling well.
Love you all, in an internet kinda way.
ICU

And on a weird sidenote, I don't know if you have seen the Moonrise Kingdom movie. That was me 30 years ago.

I'm still supposedly hot, so my pixels count...

RE: EPIC Project Chatter
Thank you icur and Mr I.

Once upon a time I told you all I had a gnarly disorder. And then reminded you many times. And there was no rejoicing. I said that someday my health would slide downhill. This is someday. There is no treatment for what I have, just a bunch of experiments and experiment I did. I've been experimenting since last June.

As a consequence the only thing epic about this project is what an epic failure I've been as project manager. It was - and I think still is - a great and cool idea. I made a promise I couldn't keep. Then again, Vortex Dweller had not yet returned my Crystal Ball of 99.4% Accurate Predictions so I couldn't project my slide. I just had to conserve resources.

Well I took my last experimental treatment in December; it almost killed me and I just decided "Enough." Not giving up, just gave up that course. Now I'm searching outside the Western world... at the direction of my Western world medical doctor.

Unfortunately, that last experimental treatment obliterated my immune system resulting in exposure to every known infection and flu - who knew tapioca pudding got the flu. Hopefully - all fingers and toes crossed - I'm near normal. Well... as normal as any man can be who is guided by pandas.

I've resumed video work.

Has anyone heard from Toots? That is my biggest regret - that I may have failed his expectation. Eternal apologies Sir.

This place has been almost as dead as me. Let's try to change that.

Thank you,
David

RE: EPIC Project Chatter
Wow, that is sad. Somehow I think of all PS artists as young, because they're in touch with their creative and irreverent inner child. That was definitely the case with Toots.

Toots... if you see God, and he (or She) doesn't like Farkers or Misfit Squirrels,
please contact us some way so we can mend our ways before it's too late.
I mean, it's GOD right? He (or She) could let you post one more time, right?

Gonna miss you man.

When was the last time you did something for the very first time?

RE: EPIC Project Chatter
Shortly after my last post above, I took another downturn. I was very sick when Toots passed... I wasn't even visiting here. Thrakazog emailed me about it so I was able to post some words on Fark. I knew I was failing Toots (wrt this video) but couldn't do anything about that. I had to withdraw from everything to conserve my energy. Survival.

While 2013 isn't even 1/4 over, it is may be the most interesting year of my life. Last year was weird in a largely negative and painful way. This year is different - it has been enlightening. I literally feel like a curious toddler in the new world again.

Eh, no worries, just panda crazy talk. Icon_albino

I've learned that I know very little. But I do believe that Toots is doing far more important and interesting work than to bother haunt me. I hope. Happy3

Peace.

Bless you all.
Crap happens.
ALL working through crap. That's life.
Cancer here, strokes there, slow increasing health problems here. Med tech today trying to prolong life there.
Please consider that the following generations will have a super search engine, and will look back, and say (or think) that there was brilliance in the 2000's. There was a juggernaut of quality pixel mangling as had not been seen before. True frontier. Obvious skill.
The squirrels will show up in that search :-).

Naw, that's just silly,

Leave you with a paraphrased Benjamin Franklin quote: We have beer because God loves us.

Yes, life is about dealing with crap. But if you got love, you can deal with ANYTHING. All you need is love.

And a good hard-drive. lol. Mine crashed - that's where I've been since my last message.

Evil4 is trying hard to keep me away from here but it... just...won't... work. I got LOVE and a new 512GB SSD drive on primary that is blazing fast. I see... I see a movie being completed. Happy3

All you need is LOVE!Love4
