Use this thread to post your images for the Project EPIC video. You should create at least 3 images*, one each for these 3 topics:
- if you could show us who you are, how would you paint it?
- if you could make a dream come true, what would it be?
- if you have a warning to the world, how would you proclaim it?

UPDATE!!!
Canvas Size:
PIC SIZE: 1920 x 1080
Post inline: 960px wide X 720px Tall, MAX 250KiB

Post your pic inline in this here thread and post a link to your larger video pic OR email the larger pic to me.

Special Instructions:
  1. Don't put anything highly detailed on the left or right borders of the image within 80px of the edge.
  2. keep a small area, at least 50px in diameter, within your image "open" as this will serve as portal for those images selected for zooming. The space does NOT need to be dead center. If the image is NOT selected as a Zoom point, you will have the opportunity later to fill in the space if desired so keep your PSD/source files.

*Depending on the # of participants, we may allow (or ask) participants to provide additional images; I'm sure you have more than one dream or warning to deliver. Happy3

IMAGE SUBMISSION DEADLINE: August 31, 2012

RE: Primary Images
Soundtrack: Demiurge. Length: 4:58.

Note: When you guys get to the video editing stage, let me know. If you need the time adjusted, I can slow the tempo for a longer track, or (not ideal) cut out a section for a shorter track. Just tell me the needed duration, and I'll do what I can. Then I'll send you a lossless FLAC version of the track, so there aren't double-compression artifacts when you encode the video.

Attached File(s)
.mp3  demiurge-v2_5.mp3 (Size: 6.33 MB / Downloads: 2)

If we can get 25 players, at 3 images each plus a start and end card that's 77 images. Divided by a shade under 5 minutes, that's about 3.86 seconds per image and I can adjust tempo with roll or zoom. So we will likely be OK but I might ask you to add 10 seconds to make it an easy image time. THanks for the offer though!

RE: Primary Images
Hey head boss Pandanista guy.... Not for nothing...but I'm a video guy. If you make the original video 1920 x 1440 (double your chosen file size) it would fall into the HDV legal file size. Without getting all techie here, for full screen on most HD monitors/tvs now you are looking at 1920 x 1080. To achieve full screen hdv needs stretch some horizontal pixels. That "strech" is noticeable. Full screen HD 1920 x 1080. You could post a killer video to vimeo or Youtube in full HD. Could also be scaled from Vimeo for all sizes of players on PCs and Macs.

Maybe we could think about doing our original art in 1920 x 1080 (we could email them to you) and uploading half size art for the squirrel site... 960 x 540.

If your software can handle full HD that is.... If not mine will...and I would be glad to help. I use Avid Symphony and Mediacomposer.

Just a thought...

RE: Primary Images
I think the specs differ in different posts... I thought we needed to leave 100px on either side (left and right) while not empty, at least boring. AND another 100px area somewhere else in the composition for prospective zoom points.

Any way, irregardless of the size of the area needed, do those #s apply to the 1920 x 1080 version or the smaller inline one. I am assuming BIG for now.

Thank you for the clarification.

The border regards the large pics. My hope is that you create large and the resize small for inline publication here. Or you can use a layer mask to create the border edges and then just remove that when you post inline.

Does that help?

Perfectly clear. What's a layer mask? Icon_geek

I think I've included the necessary space. Time will tell!

Fine... I'll go first. I wanted to wait until all 3 were done, but since it's July 4th, this seemed appropriate. Kinda.

A theme sort of started happening in my set (as you will see), unintentional, but a theme none the less. Here's Who I AM...

I need to know if it fits the parameters?

Seriously dude, it's YOUR art - I'm not going to tell you it's all wrong. We harbor no prejudice here, even against aliens. Icon_alien So if you are an alien and you want to go home, there is nothing wrong with that.
