Colorization free-for-all

Real life has seriously interfered, but I finally finished this. It's in the gallery as well as in this thread.

I've always wanted to desaturate a full-color image, then try to colorize it back to its original state. That's what I attempted with this one. If you look at it all by itself it's not too bad. If you compare it to the original, you can see that I was defeated by the skin tone.

By the time I reached the background I'd kind of given up and was just winging it. It was quite an educational experience, though.
