That "voice" is annoying - make it smaller: drop the width from 700 to 640. They could have gone with an ad-free subscription model allowing TFers to keep their 700px and then downsizing for ad-accepting viewing. But no. We will still take your money but you get ads and less space too. Because no one else has a split-storage model. Oh wait... many do - what is PSC's Advantage limit - 1200 PIXELS??!!!

That "voice" will not go away - let's throw some division their way to crush the unity - Best vs Funny. Best vs Funny? Why can't Funny be Best too??? Oh, and we won't make it Best OR Funny (which they can easily do), it is Best AND funny and let's make it impossible to count how people actually vote. So some entries get 2 votes but we don't know who voted that way. This system not only killed the spirit of Photoshop contest and put a system in place that NO contest site uses - Photoshop or otherwise, but it also killed the Leaderboard because neither HoboSong nor I can create artificial intelligence to determine how someone MIGHT have voted. So even if they restore single vote contests, we will have lost 4-6 months of data.

I say bring 'em to their knees!!!!!

Look. I've never roused rabbles before. I was always the passionate voice of reason. Well the voice of reason is leaving me whether I pout about if or not. So that leaves passion. I want this to be a free speech project. If people are pissed and want to articulate that in their art, they should be allowed to do it. Likewise if they don't want to do it - if you just want to contribute art or funny, that's cool too.

If Drew doesn't like the final play and gives me the ax, that's OK - what's a lifetime ban mean to me?
And if you don't like that some may say nasty, I'll take it offsite.

But since Most Squirrels are gentle and peaceful and not nuts like me, I'm thinking it will likely be just a beautiful collaboration of expression. And a statement unto itself - look at the work of all these fine folk who are NOT playing on your site. So maybe a happy shiny roll or zoom IS the way to go. Incidentally, Fark did something similar with about 40 folk ~7 yrs ago.


We need contributors though, ideally 2-3 pics per person. Asking anymore will kill it. So we need at least 30: that would be 60 (to 90 images max) plus in-betweens plus start and end cards. That is long enough to attach a soundtrack. 50 folk would be more ideal and it would be nice to include non-MS folk.


I will campaign for participants - both current Squirrels, current Farkers, past Farkers, and maybe even some PSC folk.

I'll come back in a few days with theme options. and also set up a poll for roll vs zoom.


And if we don't have 30 players by the end of April, then I move to kamikaze solo subversive plan B.

Despite the shiat I gave Team Misfit above, they are taking the stance they should be taking - neutral.

It's the stance I took: kept my mouth shut (mostly... some occasional lapses in judgement but we know why) and worked behind the scenes to make it better. For awhile I had pull; now not so much. I know why too, but I don't want to add fuel to the fire.

I don't want us focusing on the past and current indiscretions of Fark - I want us focusing on this project: focus on your voice - if you could make a statement, how would you proclaim it, if you could make a dream come true, what would you say.

I'm not going negative, I'm going empowering.

This is it folks, the last leg of the Panda Run. So if I'm going to have an impact, if I'm going to take a stand, the time is now. And everyone who joins me gets a free ice cream cone.

Were still waiting on word for what we'll be doing. Probably something along the line of creating a few images each around a theme then merging them together in a video.

Collaboration. So maybe it would be a good warm up to collaborate on the new Avatar for the Sandistina Alpaca! Panda.

Perhaps we could use this as a base for the Avatar.

Cause the Sandinista Panda really needs an Avatar.
