Group and site projects sets Misfit Squirrels apart from most Photoshop sites. They are fun, give you a sense of accomplishment, and can even be used as an example of project management/team work experience (for those seeking employment).
I'm itching to do a project this year... and it sounds like other Squirrels are too. Actually, I'd like to see us do a site project 1-2x per year.
For those who don't know, I've coordinated group photoshop projects as head cheerleader of iHOP - an occasional collaboration of rotating chop masters. Yugoboy has lead most of the group collaborations for Misfit Squirrels. And Mister I initiated and lead our 1st site project - the playing deck.
Please post your ideas for a site project in this thread.
On July 15 I'll create a poll for the thread ideas to date and we can vote on which site project to pursue 1st. The other ideas will be added to a new thread for future project voting, etc.

I'll start the ball rolling...
We used to be on phpBB forums software - difficult to customize... they cut off your hands if you told them. boo. In March I migrated the forums to MyBB software** - born to customize... they encourage it! Yay.
Since 2007 we have been picking forum styles created by other folk, folk not misfit squirrels... not even Squirrels!!! How can they understand our needs? How can anyone understand us?
My project proposal: create a unique Misfit Squirrel forums style.
There are many design elements which gives folk the option to tackle small critters like custom smilies or buttons, to large critters, like page design and post design. This will not be a quick undertaking, but it will be uniquely ours.
I've posted this idea a couple times and only wavion expressed an interest. Maybe he and I should tackle it... "Welcome to Serious Squirrels, where smiling is forbidden." Umm, I'm thinking a group approach is better.
This is just a proposal... you no likey, you no votey. I'll just be in the corner crying... really... its.. it is ok. Seriously. Now let's hear from the other squirrels. I know at least 2 other squirrels with ideas...
** in case you were wondering why some threads have GINORMOUS font... phpBB 3 used a different font sizing method than most other vendors - even from phpBB 2! Suffice to say, this 'translation' did not please me. As time passes, I'm trying to correct those threads traveled more often.
