Thanks Jazzy and Libra. re: the lighting....I thought the changes I made were too subtle to pick up, Im glad they werent. And yes, the hair was the hardest part...probably 15 layers just for the hair. I'd share the PSD like libra did, except it wouldnt make sense as I scattered the work over several. Im a sloppy worker like that sometimes.

That's generally how I do my work, I think this colorization thing is the first one that I might have done all in one PSD.

Great job BTW Hobo!

LNRose: you had me all confused because your link says click here to see the PDF & I was all "PDF ain't gonna look no different than this, he got some new tricked out Adobe? Now I gets it. Typos, I makes thems tooz...

I saw some brief instruction on how to colorize awhile back in the PSAEF, and tried a couple on the "shop this handshake" thread a few weeks back (with the train). I spent a couple hours and saw that it was cool, but would've needed like you guys are sayin 3-5 more hours of work to finish! I'm not that dedicated. At least not for Fark. Yet. I have a max of about 2 hours for anything going there, once that's up it's either quit time or next thread. I suppose I'll need to start making occasional exceptions to that rule both there and here... I'm still getting oriented both places though, and am gonna have refine my approach as summer & all my kayaking & fishing & etc etc comes around. Yay for summer! :fishgreen:

Now see that? Stylin'. I think... just a 'think' 'cause i dig your signature... but i'm thinking less choppery and more painting & drawing for you. Freestyle. No O. Just an idea and some brushes and let you go wild.

After this current round I'm a gonna set up a freestyle challenge - not a contest - just a chance to push your mind. This should lure Reggienoble2 out of hiding - you should check his profiles on the scrutinizer and photoshopcontest.com site. He is a youngin' but has the soul of an old master in him.
Incredible artist: Reggienoble2

I think it was just one of those things where the stars aligned and Crom and Mitra smiled at me. As Bob Ross would say a happly lil accident. Nonetheless I did go up a hatsize. I do like freedom and try to take advantage of it whenever I can kind of like oxygen. But I am a lil confused (say it ain't so Toots!). I thought you were Reggienoble2? Didn't I just read that? Seriously, this week I have made some grand mistooks. Wrong week to quit huffing krylon I guess. Eek

In the 1st Grand Scrutinizer Tournament, whilst I was still an unknown n00b, folk guessed that my 1st round entry was done by Reggienoble2, these folk included the legendary elle, a bestest bud of Mr Noble. Mr Noble being one of my chop heroes, that others thought MY pic was done by him - well I was all'd warm and fuzzy inside. I believe I wrote about this in the Tournament Discussion thread, so no you are not imagining it, but you missed the "guessing" part.

GbyP <> Reggienoble2. First the dude is literally young enough to be my son... that's very depressing. And he's got special talent I can't even buy... er when I could buy anything.
